Tenant Obligations 

The rules that a tenant must follow fall into two groups:

1. The rules that are implied by law, even if the agreement between you and your landlord says something different. The law that sets out these rules in Alberta is the Residential Tenancies Act.
2. The rules that you and your landlord agree to in the lease or tenancy agreement.
