If the tenant wants to move before the termination date stated in the landlord’s notice, the tenant can give the landlord a notice to end the tenancy. The tenant must still give the proper amount of notice as outlined in the Residential Tenancies Act. See Notice to End a Periodic Tenancy for more information.
