With entry to the rental property, the tenant cannot refuse the landlord’s entry to the rental property if they follow the proper notice of entry rules. The landlord does not need the tenant’s consent to enter the property. If the tenant is concerned about not being present at the time of entry, they can contact the landlord. That way, they can see if they can work out an alternate time that would work best for both of them. The landlord is under no obligation to agree to a different date and time, but may be willing to be flexible.
